An Experimental S tudy of Acupuncture Stimulation on the local Inflammation in Rat.
In order to study the effect of acupuncture stimulation on the local inflammation induced by the acetic acid/saline solution with 0. 1 ml/rat. on the sole of the right paw of the rat, Pal-pung points (A$ M-)and Baeg-Hioe (GV 20) were applied at the time intervals of 30, 60, 90,150 and 210 minutes respectively and it was studied the anti-inflammatory effect by measuring the volumes of the paw inflammation.
Results obtained ey the present trial were as follows.
1. palpung points inserted with acupuncture made the results showed significant statistical values (p( 0.01) in the. increasing and the inhibitory rate of local inflammation formation.
2. With the needles inserted at the acupuncture point Baeg-Hoe (GV 20); it ,revealed the significant values (p (0. 01) than the control group.
3. Concerning Palpung points, right side point showed more significant values than the left in the inhibitory rate of local inflammation formation. According to this results, it is presumed that Keo-Ja-Beob (PVJM) in the acupuncture manipulation techniques is applicable to the local inflammation. tion.
